Welcome to Texas Authors Press (TAP), a division of the Texas Authors Museum & Institute of History (TAMIH). By accessing or using our website, services, and resources, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms

Texas Authors Press operates a unique publishing model combining traditional publishing services with educational and legacy programs. By using this website or engaging in our services, you acknowledge and agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and any supplemental agreements (e.g., Publishing Agreements) you may enter into with TAP.

2. Publishing Services

All publishing services provided by TAP, including but not limited to editing, design, formatting, distribution, and marketing, are subject to individual Publishing Agreements signed by participating authors. Terms regarding royalties, rights, and legacy deposits are governed by those agreements.

  • Authors agree to the terms outlined in their Publishing Agreement.

  • Membership benefits are accessible based on the membership level specified in the author’s agreement.

  • TAP reserves the right to modify, improve, or discontinue services with reasonable notice.

3. Membership Terms

Participation in TAP services requires an active membership after the first year of publication. Membership fees, levels, and benefits are clearly outlined on the website and within individual agreements.

  • Membership is non-transferable and must remain in good standing for continued access to services.

  • Failure to maintain membership may result in the suspension of services or termination of agreements, as specified in contract terms.

4. Use of Website

All content provided on the TAP website, including articles, graphics, logos, and promotional materials, is the property of TAP and TAMIH.

  • You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish website content without written permission.

  • Website users are prohibited from engaging in spam, data mining, or any malicious activity on this website.

5. Intellectual Property

All published works through TAP are protected under the terms of individual contracts. Authors retain ownership of their intellectual property during their lifetime, with agreed-upon rights for distribution, derivative works, and legacy deposit into the Texas Authors Museum upon death or contract termination.

6. Limitation of Liability

TAP is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or publishing services. While we strive for accuracy and reliability, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted website availability or error-free services.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from your use of TAP services or website will be resolved under the laws of the State of Texas. Where applicable, mediation or arbitration will be the preferred method of resolution.

8. Changes to Terms
